Community events.Sunsets.Roadside breaks.Welcome to Buenos Aires.
We arrived in Buenos Aires before Tom and Tracy as they had made a side trip to see penguins and as our back tire was in dire need of replacement we weren’t able to join them. We agreed to meet in BA and then continue the ride to Iguazu Falls. They limped into BA a couple of days after us, the BMW was once again having rear axle problems. The end result, Tom was faced with a major decision….was it worth fixing, with the worry of what would be next, as it is a 2007 with over 140,000km….it had earned it’s keep….or would he replace it, as he was going back to England for a few weeks anyway.
Final decision, new bike. Change of plans, Iguazu Falls would be too demanding a ride time wise for us as we had scheduled a departure date for the bike and ourselves for Australia. So much more time in Buenos Aires for us than planned and an early departure to England for Tom and Tracy to get things organized.
Contemplating our plans.
Instead of the Falls a shorter trip to Montevideo, Uruguay; the four of us decided on ferry and bus as transport and off we went for a couple of days.
Our hotel.Across the road. Our favorite café.
Still using two wheels.
Fiat 600’s abound.
Back in Buenos Aires, farewell to Tom and Tracy, then back to enjoying the city and getting ready to change continents.
